Insulation and building specialist Kingspan has announced higher earnings and revenues for the first half of the year.

The figures showed earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation of €88.9m, up 17pc for year ended June.

Revenues were 4pc higher at €889.3m.

Gene Murtagh, chief executive of Kingspan, said: “Kingspan has delivered strong growth in profitability, notwithstanding a tougher EU construction sector in the second quarter, and a global economic recovery that remains weak. Our order book carried good momentum into the second half of the year, driven by continued growth in the demand for low energy buildings.”
