Kingspan praying for miracle at Hull
GENE Murtagh's Kingspan will be watching events at premiership football club Hull FC with real interest.
Kingspan is thought to have paid less than €100,000 to become a sponsor of the north-east club for the season. However, Hull is deep in the "drop zone" and could be relegated to the Championship next weekend if results don't go its way.
Last week it emerged that AIB had paid €32,000 for eight corporate seats at Manchester United for the current season. Noel Smyth's property development firm Alburn was also listed as a corporate seat owner at the club.
Irish banks and building societies have also lent money to Chelsea, Fulham and Arsenal in recent years.
