CRH's shares surged last week after Mr Trump’s election win on hopes it may benefit from a huge infrastructure investment programme planned by him.

There are some interesting corporate results in store this week, while investors will also be waiting to see if US president-elect Donald Trump makes any moves towards formal cabinet appointments.

Today, Cavan-based insulation maker Kingspan reports interim results, as does diversified group DCC.

On Thursday, Ireland's biggest company, CRH, delivers a trading update. The company's shares surged last week after Mr Trump's election win on hopes it may benefit from a huge infrastructure investment programme planned by him.

Ferry group Irish Continental also issues a trading update today.

In the UK, Vodafone has interim results out tomorrow, while Easyjet also posts its full-year results the same day.

Today, industrial production figures for the EU are published, while ECB president Mario Draghi will give a speech in Rome.

Other statistics which will out this week include the September residential property price index from the Central Statistics Office.
