Kenmare's output increases by 8pc

Kenmare Resources said output of heavy mineral concentrate from its titanium mine in Mozambique increased by 8pc in the second half of last year compared with the first half. Output of the heavy concentrate rose to 496,190 metric tons in the period.

Dragon expects growth of 15pc

Dragon Oil, the Dublin-listed energy explorer focused on Turkmenistan, expects output growth to exceed 10pc to 15pc this year after completing a pipeline and processing facility. Average production rose 5.5pc to 47,211 barrels of oil a day last year, with daily output reaching 57,013 barrels at the end of 2010, the company said in a statement. The explorer raised oil and condensate reserves to 639 million barrels and booked 1.6 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves.

SuperValu claims festive period crown

SUPERVALU is claiming victory over the Christmas period after achieving the strongest growth in the grocery multiples sector for the four weeks to December 26, according to new stats. The latest Kantar Worldpanel grocery market shares show that SuperValu increased sales by 7.6pc and grew its market share to 20.6pc.
