Independent launches new site for ladies

HOT on the heels of the success of men's only websites like, Independent Digital is launching a new female zone,

Featuring sections on fashion, beauty, celebrity gossip, love and sex and health and fitness, the newly launched site is targeted at the 18 to 35-year-old online audience.

"The design is chic and stylish but there's no shortage of fun," says Independent Digital's head of content Martha Mathews.

"We hope our female readers will enjoy the feel-good positivity on offer."


Eileen Ruddy, sales boss at Independent Digital, says she is confident the new site will follow the "phenomenal success" of the women's section of, which attracted sponsorship from brands such as H&M, 7 Up, Debenhams and Littlewoods Ireland.

"We are confident that the sassy and youthful new look website will continue to attract advertisers that wish to target a young female audience," she adds.
