Ronan Lambe (right), one of Ireland's wealthiest drug-company founders, is leading the chase for Cheltenham honours. Lambe, who founded €1bn-valued, Nasdaq-listed Icon plc, has a number of fancied runners at the festival this week.
His Right of Passage is the 7/2 favourite for the Neptune hurdle on Wednesday, with Elant Concorde favourite for the Bumper.
Lambe's Prince Erik is also one of the fancies for the Pertemps on Thursday.
Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary is also well-represented, with Weapins Amnesty running in the RSA chase and Carlo Brigante a short price in the Triumph.
Former head of the department of Taoiseach Paddy Teahon, now a director of Treasury Holdings, owns Mourad, a short-priced 8/1 for the Coral Cup. Developer Michael O'Flynn, one of the top 10 borrowers whose €16bn worth of loans are Nama-bound, owns China Rock, one of the favourites for the Jewson.
