A former official with the National Asset Management Agency (Nama) is moving to property investment firm Hibernia Reit.
Mark Pollard joins Hibernia in May as the company's director of development. He follows in the footsteps of Hibernia chief executive Kevin Nowlan.
Mr Nowlan, a former Irish rugby international and Leinster full back, worked in Nama as a portfolio manager for three years and held a similar role in Johnny Ronan's Treasury Holdings for four years. He also worked at Anglo Irish Bank.
Mr Nowlan praised Mr Pollard's expertise.
"Mark has a wealth of development experience both in Ireland and in the UK and we are delighted he is joining Hibernia to oversee the delivery of our exciting pipeline of projects in Dublin's city centre," he said.
During his six years in Nama, Mr Pollard (59) was responsible for a number of key development assets in Dublin and London. Previously he held senior development roles at Treasury Holdings and Asda Property Holdings.
He qualified as a chartered surveyor with Jones Lang LaSalle in London. It was announced last month that Hibernia had completed the acquisition of D2 properties, Hardwicke House and Montague House.
