Government to outline approach for banking enquiry
The Government said it plans to outline its approach to a possible banking enquiry after a meeting today.
“The Minister for Finance will bring forward a framework to next week’s Government meeting,” after a discussion today on “a range of issues in relation to the imperative of restoring a properly functioning banking system,” it also said in a statement.
Separately, the Government said in a statement that it appointed Kevin Cardiff as its top public servant at the Department of Finance, with effect from the end of this month. Kevin Cardiff will replace David Doyle, who is retiring.
