Gardai may be called to investigate confidential Denis O'Brien data leak from IBRC
Gardai may be called in to investigate a leak of confidential client data from Irish Bank Resolution Corporation.
IBRC Special Liquidators Kieran Wallace and Eamonn Richardson of KPMG are already conducting an internal probe into the leaking of information about the bank’s former client Denis O’Brien, which may now be escalated.
“The Special Liquidators are following a definite line of inquiry concerning the removal of documents and the leaking of information about a specific customer account from IBRC.”
“The Special Liquidators have sought and received advice to the effect that they should conclude their current internal inquiries before initiating any further action. Such further action may include informing the appropriate authorities, including the Gardaí,” a spokesman said.
