Former CRH boss Myles Lee received €4.16m in payments last year

Payments included €1m in 'retirement benefits'

Outgoing CRH boss Myles Lee received a 64pc increase in compensation last year, according to the company’s annual report.

Mr Lee received €4.16m last year compared with €2.5m in 2012, the Dublin-based building materials company said.

"The payout included €1.6m from a long-term incentive plan and almost €1m in "retirement benefits" on top of his basic salary, the report says.

CRH increased total disclosed payouts to executive directors by more than 50pc for 2013. New chief executive Albert Manifold got €2m compared with €1.4m the previous year.
