Flynn construction firm appoints senior industry figure to drive growth
Construction group Flynn Management & Contractors has appointed well-known construction industry figure Leo Harmon to its senior management team as it seeks to continue rapid growth.
Harmon has joined the company as a director. He was previously a member of BAM's board of directors.
In addition, Fergal Duffy, who has worked on projects including the Dundrum Town Centre and Microsoft's Dublin campus, has joined Flynn from BAM as a project director. Harmon said he was joining to "develop and grow this extremely exciting company".
The Glasnevin-based company has recently won the contract to renovate the Old Jameson Distillery. Its staff count has risen to 100 from 34 in January 2015. After posting turnover of €40m last year, it is forecasting €100m for this year.
CSO Quarterly National Household Survey figures show the numbers working in the construction industry increased almost 9pc year-on-year in the second quarter, to 136,900.
