DUBLIN Mayor Oisin Quinn and 100 business people will sleep rough to raise €500,000 for homeless charity Focus Ireland next month.
Executives from KPMG, Deloitte, RR Donnelly, KBC and Littlewoods Ireland are among those sleeping rough on October 18 in Dublin's Iveagh Gardens and the Cork City Gaol.
Each person must raise or donate €5,000 for Focus Ireland. Last year's event, the first, raised more than €370,000 when 55 people slept out, which helped nearly 400 families secure a home.
"I hope the business community gets behind this and signs up to take part this year," Mr Quinn said yesterday.
