Dublin Port Company said trade rose for a fifth month in April, led by a surge in exports.
Trade levels at the port increased 5.4pc from a year earlier, with exports rising 13.5pc, it said in a statement today. Imports rose 0.6pc.
Ferry passenger numbers soared 40pc as ash from the volcano in Iceland disrupted air travel.
