The facilities have been branded as The Hub, a new area that will serve both big and small corporate clients.

Technology in The Hub has been set up to suit wireless presentations and wide-ranging meeting styles.

Private rooms and an open-plan area will be established as part of the investment with click and go technology as well as high-speed wifi set to be included.

The chief executive at The Doyle Collection, Pat King, said The Hub was another part of a series of enhancements to the hotel.

"From luxurious furnishings to its warm aesthetic appeal overlooking the River Lee, The Hub is a superb meetings and events facility in the heart of Cork city for businesses all over the country," Mr King said.
