DCC Technology expands its service offering with the acquisition of MTR

Dublin-based DCC Technology, which trades as Exertis, has acquired MRT Group, a fast growing UK based provider of second lifecycle solutions for mobile and table services.

Based in Essex and employing 60 people, MTR partners with retailers, mobile handset manufacturers, and insurance companies to source and refurbish mobile phones and tables for resale to customers in the UK and other countries.

In the year to 30 November 2016, MTR generated revenues of £11m (€12.3m).

DCC Technology provides a broad range of consumer and business technology products and services to retailer and reseller customers in Europe.

The acquisition of MTR advances the DCC Technology strategy of expanding its service proposition to vendors and customers and provides access to the high growth second lifecycle solutions market, a statement from DCC Technology said.

DCC Technology operates in a number of locations including Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, UAE, Spain, Norway, Sweden and Poland.

It also has offices in China and the USA which the company says enhances its global supply chain capability.
