DCC completes Robert Roberts and Kelkin sale
DCC has completed its sale of tea and coffee maker Robert Roberts and health food company Kelkin.
The companies represented 80pc of the operating profit of DCC's food and beverage division in the year ended March 31st last year. The businesses were sold to Valeo Foods, which owns the Jacob's biscuit brand.
The deal, which was announced by DCC to the Stock Exchange on September 30 last, has now been given clearance from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
"DCC has now completed the disposal of substantially all of its food and beverage subsidiaries," the company said in a statement.
The sale also includes Findlater Wine & Spirits, part of the Robert Roberts group.
