DAA to create 500 new jobs at T2
The Dublin Airport Authority has said it will create more than 500 new jobs at Terminal Two in Dublin Airport, which is due to open in November.
In April, the DAA announced plans to create around 400 new jobs in the retail and catering outlets at the terminal.
The latest announcement brings the total number of jobs to 900.
The DAA say the jobs are full time equivalents but given the nature of airport operations the total employed will be well over 1,000 as the jobs will be a mixture of full and part-time positions.
The 500 new staff will be responsible for passenger services and facilities management at T2.
The new employees will be involved in security, cleaning, customer service, and passenger processing.
According to the DAA, T2’s main construction phase is now effectively complete and it has started to commission and test the new facility.
