DAA promises 400 jobs for Terminal Two
The Dublin Airport Authority has announced that 400 new retail jobs are to be created with the opening of Terminal Two at Dublin Airport later this year.
The DAA says T2, which is due to open in November, will contain almost 40 separate outlets, with a range of new shops, restaurants, and bars located in the terminal.
The Authority also announced the first five preferred bidders for the retail outlets which includes House of Ireland, WHSmith, and jewellery retailer Swatch. These will be joined by around 25 other operators when the terminal opens.
"Retail is an integral element of the modern airport experience and Terminal Two will offer passengers a comprehensive choice of outlets," said DAA Retail Director Paul Neeson.
"Despite the downturn, there has been huge interest in T2’s retail space and we are delighted to have secured an impressive portfolio of Irish and international retailers," Mr Neeson added.
