Kilkenny-based Glanbia has named Henry Corbally (right) as vice-chairman, replacing Victor Quinlan in the post.
The dairy company is continuing the quaint tradition ensuring that any chairman or vice-chairman is an active farmer.
Mr Corbally (56) has been a board member for more than a decade and farms at Kilmainhamwood in Meath, and is also a vice-chairman of the National Dairy Council.
Mr Quinlan, who retired from the board at the age of 65, farms at Baptistgrange in Tipperary. He is chairman of Irish Co-operative Society Limited (ICOS) and the Malting Company of Ireland Ltd and a director of D Walsh & Sons along with a few other companies.
