Family Guy, the American animated comedy featuring the clueless Peter Griffin and his equally clueless family has certainly worked wonders for viewership at TV3's sister channel, 3e.
The number of adults watching 3e has increased by almost 50 per cent over the last year, according to the latest figures from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
While TV3 has also gained viewers, Nielsen found that most other channels on Irish TV have seen their audience figures drop over the last year.
E4 has shed about a third of its adult viewers, despite airing The Inbetweeners, the comedy recently made into a film. RTE 1, RTE 2, TG4, UTV, Channel 4 and Comedy Central have also shed viewers, according to Nielsen.
