Carmody to join Vodafone after row resolved

EIRCOM is understood to have reached an agreement with a former director of its fledgling eMobile arm, Conor Carmody, that will enable him to take up a new role within Vodafone in May.
Eircom recently initiated High Court proceedings against Mr Carmody to enforce a clause in his contract that would have prevented him beginning work at Vodafone until September. Eircom was seeking an injunction against him.
However, it appears lawyers for both sides will tell the court this morning that they have reached a settlement and that Mr Carmody will be free to join Vodafone within the next five weeks or so.
Mr Carmody left the Eircom group in December on gardening leave. He's joining Vodafone Ireland as the company's head of consumer marketing.
