Businesses call for new motorway between Limerick and Cork to enhance economic linkages

Businesses in the Munster region have given their overwhelming support to the proposed M20 motorway, with 98pc stating it will enhance economic linkages between Cork and Limerick.

An equal amount believe that it will lead to increased road safety, initial findings from a Red C Research survey of businesses conducted as part of an ongoing study into the proposed motorway has found.

The survey was conducted as part of the joint campaign by Limerick and Cork Chambers in support of the M20.

The survey also found that 97pc believe it will reduce traffic congestion between the two cities and reduce journey times.
