Buckley heads up INBS commercial

APPOINTMENT
Irish Nationwide Building Society has appointed Declan Buckley as its head of commercial banking, it said yesterday. Mr Buckley was previously the head of business banking at Ulster Bank Ireland. INBS said the appointment continued the strengthening of its senior management team.
Lenihan to talk at compliance event
CONFERENCE
The Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland annual conference "New Compliance Realities -- the Future of Regulation and Compliance in a Changed Risk Landscape" takes place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Dublin, on Monday starting at 8.45am. A keynote address by Finance Minister Brian Lenihan TD will focus on Ireland's new regulatory structures.

IT provider forms new partnership
ALLIANCE
Kilkenny IT provider Business IT Solutions (BITS), has formed a new partnership with Carlow-based web development company T2. The alliance will bring BITS' expertise to bear on the management of PC and server networking, data recovery and IT maintenance. T2 will manage all aspects of website development, internet marketing projects and in-house development of proprietary software for both sets of clients.
Mobile access for pre-pay users
BROADBAND
O2 has launched a mobile broadband service for pre-pay customers. The new service aims to offer an alternative to fixed broadband, and is expected to give pre-paid users fast and easy internet and email access. The pre-pay broadband costs from €3.99 for a 24-hour pass to €19.99 for a 30-day pass.
