Boots and Eason sign up at Thurles

Boots pharmacist and Eason bookstores are the latest retailers to sign up for units at Thurles Shopping Centre, which was developed by Clancy Construction, the landlord who launched the phase II extension in March 2009.

Boots are to take a new 5,940sq ft unit with Eason's opening a new 3,300 sq ft unit in the Co Tipperary centre.

Other recent signings include Quigley's Bakery Café, Holland & Barrett, and Euro 2.

Anchored by a newly refurbished 5,574sqm Dunnes Stores, the centre has been enhanced by the addition of a five screen cinema which is to be operated by IMC.

Agent Paul Fahey of Bannon is quoting €40 per sq ft for the last three units in the 32 unit development.

Quigley's currently trade from 10 retail locations throughout the country and have been on an acquisition trail over the last 18 months.
