Block price slashed

The asking price of a Mulhuddart apartment block has been cut from €3m to €1,895,000. Its 30 units comprise three one-bedroom, three three-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom units, which makes an average price of €63,167 per flat.

Located on a 1.5-acre site, the building rises to three and a half storeys over a basement car park. It is just 500 metres from Mulhuddart Village and convenient to Blanchardstown shopping centre.

It is being sold by Martin Ferris, receiver over some of the assets of developers Larry O'Mahony and Thomas McFeely. The agents are HT Meagher O'Reilly.

ACC Bank appointed the receiver. Repayment arrears of more than €600,000 had accumulated on their loan of €6.2m. Now more than 60 years old, Mr McFeely endured 53 days on hunger strike during the H-Block protests in which a number of hunger strikers died.
