Average salary €47,000 plus a host of benefits
PayPal refuses to say what the salary range for the new posts will be, but average pay at the online payments company is around €47,000 a year.
But remuneration does not stop at pay. PayPal also offers a host of perks that are above and beyond the norm in the average Irish workplace. Its job ads promise "unbeatable rewards in any language". They include a free on-site gym and car park.
And, at a time when many people are being squeezed by extortionate insurance premiums, there is another big bonus -- healthcare for you and your dependents, and life insurance.
Other advantages are a subsidised staff restaurant and a subsidised bus to and from the city centre for the company's Blanchardstown employees.
Staff also enjoy a four-week paid sabbatical after five years' service, 25 days' paid holiday, a monthly reward scheme and employee events.
The company, which describes itself as "fast-paced, trend setting and boundary pushing", is looking for workers in a range of areas to work at a new European Operations Centre in Dundalk.
About half of the 1,000 staff that will be recruited in the next four years must have a second language.
The firm wants staff with French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Hebrew and Russian.
They do not have to be graduates, but experience will be sought for many of the roles. English-only speakers and candidates living abroad are welcome to apply.
Vacancies will be filled in a variety of the company's divisions, including customer support, which would involve assisting customers with their accounts.
