AUDI sold 3,400 cars to Irish customers in the year ended , representing a 23pc increase on the year ended December 2011, according to new figures.
“2011 was an extremely successful year for Audi in Ireland and all over the world, a success we plan to emulate in 2012. Year-to-date we have maintained our position as premium market leader and with our incredible product line-up and our investment in developing a world-class dealer network in Ireland, we will ensure this position is maintained for a fourth consecutive year,” said Andrew Doyle, managing director of Audi Ireland.
The brand sold more than 1.3 million cars in the past year with revenue up to €44.1bn.
Operating profit rose to over €5.3bn with return on sales up from 9.4pc to 12.1pc.
The company is expecting to grow sales further in 2012.
