Builder supplier Wolseley, which operates the Brooks chain, is offering a 75pc reduction on the price of a five- acre site at Garrankesh, Athlone, Co Westmeath.
At the market peak in 2006 it went sale agreed for €5m but it is now asking €1.25m. The agent Savills says that the site is zoned for enterprise and employment uses, occupies a high profile position, benefits from 100m of road frontage and enjoys easy access to Athlone Town Centre and the N6 Athlone bypass.
The same agent has put a €500,000 price tag on a refurbishment/development property with dual road frontage in Blanchardstown village, Dublin 15.
