AIB now worth less than HIV firm

Ireland's biggest bank AIB is now worth less than John Climax's listed HIV testing firm Icon following a crash in bank shares.
Last Friday AIB, led by Colm Doherty (above), saw its value fall below €1bn. It is now worth around €40m less than Icon. AIB has been flip flopping with insulation group Kingspan over the 13th position in Ireland's largest listed companies.
The Irish stockmarket has fallen by nearly 10 per cent in the last two weeks, as fears over the banking system have been exacerbated by concerns over Europe's weaker economies.
