Aer Lingus, Ryanair fall as volcanic ash causes disruption

Aer Lingus fell as much as 11pc in Dublin trading as a volcanic ash cloud over Europe caused the airline to cancel flights.
Aer Lingus declined as much as 8 cents to 67 cents and traded at 68 cents at 9:53am.
Ryanair fell as much as 26 cents, or 6.7pc, to €3.63.
Goodbody Stockbrokers estimated Ryanair may lose between €10m and €12m for every day of travel disruption and that Aer Lingus may lose about €4m a day.
