Aer Lingus passenger numbers increase in January

PASSENGER numbers at Aer Lingus rose by 5.8pc in January to 563,000 the same time last year.
Short haul passengers were up 6.2pc to 514,000 while those on long haul gained 2.1pc to 49,000.
The load factor, or how many seats it fills for each flight, was up 2pc to 62.5pc.
Capacity increased by 4.6pc.
Long haul load factor fell by 3.9 points to 61.8pc.
