A Stout €2m price tag put on Rathmines bar

The Stout Bar and an adjoining residential investment property at Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, is being offered for sale with a €2m price tag.

Formerly known as The Rathmines Inn, it was one of two pubs owned by Cormore Investments (Dublin), to which the Bank of Scotland (Ireland) appointed Tom Kavanagh of Kavanagh Fennell as the receiver.

Fitted in traditional style, The Stout Bar is a single storey over basement property extending to 340sqm with a catering kitchen. It also has a spacious beer garden and smoking area. It ceased trading some months ago.

The adjoining investment property at 1 Richmond Hill extends to three storeys and its four apartments are fully let. The agent is John Hughes of CB Richard Ellis.

Cormore also owns a Bray pub and its directors included Cathal and Philip Brady.
