A Cork outsourcing firm is to announce the creation of 150 new jobs in Clonakilty today.
SouthWestern which provides finance, human resources and customer relations management services, already employs 450 people in west Cork and 150 people in Poland serving customers across Europe.
The company began in Bandon in the late 1950s managing the cattle breeding needs of the local farming community in west Cork.
It now offers business process outsourcing which many companies in the public and private sector have engaged in to cut costs. Vodafone became the latest company to outsource its debt collection function to SouthWestern last month.
The company is also investing €3.5m in research and technology, backed by Enterprise Ireland.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton will be in Clonakilty to make the announcement.
