I bought art until all went pear-shaped

Lives: Ballsbridge, south County Dublin. From Westport, Co Mayo
Family: "Three kids, a girl and two boys, all either teenagers or about to be teenagers. The eldest is just going on 17 and the youngest is going on 13. Would my kids go into law? My eldest did a week in William Fry for her transition year work experience and loved it but I wouldn't bet on law, she's very artistic."
Hobbies: "If I had more time I'd have more hobbies. I used to sail a lot, in the west in Clew Bay, and I have a boat in Dublin that I rarely get on to. I like kayaking too and I was skiing a few weeks ago. And I go to the gym to try and keep in one piece. Our new office has a great gym. I like art too. I would have bought some a few years ago, but stopped when everything went pear-shaped."
Your last good meal:
"I really like the Wild Goose Grill in Ranelagh in Dublin, over McSorley's pub. It's excellent. I've had brilliant meals in places like Chapter One and Patrick Guilbaud's, but I enjoy eating somewhere quieter with friends just as much."
