Gongs galore for agencies at Burlington PRCA ceremony
THE "Awards for Excellence in Public Relations", aka the PRCA awards are a red letter day on the PR calendar in Ireland and this year's awards didn't disappoint, with a number of agencies leaving the Burlington Hotel with silverware.
Among the winners were MKC Communications and the Dublin Web Summit, who won the Best Event (over 25k), while Pembroke Communications picked up four gongs.
Fleishman Hillard also left the dinner with a smile after winning best public affairs campaign and Wilson Hartnell Public Relations scooped three awards.
MKC's managing director Laurie Mannix praised Paddy Cosgrave and Daire Hickey of the web summit for creating a "fantastic event".
"Working on the Dublin Web Summit was a great experience for the whole team and we are delighted that the PR impact has been recognised by our peers," she said.
Meanwhile, Pembroke Communications boss Michael O'Keeffe said his firm was "delighted" with its awards.
"It is extremely encouraging for us as an agency that we were honoured across a variety of disciplines including social media, consumer PR, corporate communications and sports PR."
