Forbes names Web Summit co-founder Daire Hickey and actress Saoirse Ronan as Irish heavyhitters in '30 under 30' list

Actress Saoirse Ronan and Web Summit co-founder Daire Hickey have been named on the prestigious Forbes '30 under 30' 2016 list.

The list recognises 600 of the “brightest young entrepreneurs, breakout talents and change agents” for the year across 20 different sectors.

Other talented Irish individuals to have been recognised by the list in prior years include Patrick and John Collison, the founders of online payments company Stripe, golfer Rory McIlroy, CoderDojo co-founder James Whelton and games designer Terry Cavanagh.

Actress Saoirse Ronan, who received critical acclaim for her role in the film adaptation of Colm Toibin’s novel Brooklyn, was listed in the “Hollywood” sector.
