Wicklow jewel under hammer
A lovely traditional farmhouse with outbuildings on 12.78ac located at Coolroe, Coolboy, Tinahely, Co Wicklow, is to be sold at auction on June 21.
The property is within walking distance of Coolboy Riding Club and four kilometres from Tinahely and Carnew. The land is laid out in three divisions of permanent pasture, presently in grass, and while seven acres are in good condition, there are five acres in need of reclamation.
According to auctioneer Michael Kinsella, of Kinsella Estates, Gorey, the land is south-facing with decent road frontage. The house, a two-storey building comprising two bedrooms, an entrance hall, kitchen/living room, sitting room and bathroom, is in need of significant modernisation. Outside, there are a number of old stone buildings that adjoin the residence.
The property will be sold as an entire or in lots. Lot one will consist of the house on 1.34ac. Lot two will be 11.44ac while lot three will consist of the entire.
The auction takes place at Lawless Hotel, Aughrim, Co Wicklow, at 3pm on Tuesday, June 21.
Meanwhile, Mr Kinsella also has an attractive 17ac non-residential farm for sale less than two kilometres from Ballinclash, seven kilometres from Rathdrum and the renowned 'Meetings of the Water', and about 65km from Dublin.
Laid out in three main divisions of permanent pasture, the land is exceptionally well fenced and sheltered with frontage to a minor road. This property is unique in that it is watered by a gravity supply and ideal for any type of farming enterprise. Bounded and sheltered by forestry owned by Coillte, the woods adjoining the farm are replete with walks.
