West Dublin holding for €11,000/ac

As the auction season begins to get busier a 53.9ac parcel of ground at Newcastle in Co Dublin will give an indication as to how land prices around the capital will fare this year.

The property is being guided at €600,000 or over €11,000/ac.

Described by Ganly Walters auctioneers as prime land in a great location the property is at Lyons Road 2km from Newcastle, 4km from the M7, 6km from Celbridge and 4km from Lucan.

The holding is laid out in one block and divided into three fields by natural boundaries with almost 400m of road frontage onto Lyons Road and 577m onto two side roads.

It will be sold at public auction at Ganly Walters Offices, 8-34 Percy Place, Dublin at 3pm on Wednesday, March 9.

Cork farm sale

An extensive 108ac residential holding at Kilcrea, Ovens in Co Cork sold by private treaty recently, making in excess of its guide of €1.5m or almost €14,000/ac.

It is believed the buyer is a local farmer, one of four in contention as David Keane of David Keane Property Services brought the deal to a conclusion.
