US to aid North probe
A US laboratory has been asked to help identify those responsible for the malicious dumping of a brucellosis-infected foetus on a Co Armagh farm.
Northern Ireland agriculture minister Michelle Gildernew said foetus samples are being sent to the US for analysis.
The infected foetus was found at Lisslea, near Mullaghbawn, earlier this month.
Vets in the North's agriculture department recently submitted several brucellosis strains to the US for detailed analyses and investigation.
Minister Gildernew also said the affected farmer has now had his entire herd of 83 cattle slaughtered.
