Tullamore to host disperal sale of 'Vern' Charolais herd

The 'Vern' Charolais herd which has bred several champions is to be disbanded with the Dispersal Sale of progeny scheduled for an evening sale at GVM Mart, Tullamore on Friday, October 22 at 5.30pm, writes Martin Ryan.
The herd was founded in 1986 by Frank Harrington, Ballinafad House, Ballybeg, Strokestown (who is retiring for health reasons) with success over the years built on top blood lines, including, CF 52, Domino, Diamant, Lochness, Repair and Induran.
All females in the herd trace to Tara Ciara, and outstanding cow and milker and Dam of Premier Charolais Sale Champions, male and female, sold for record prices including a champion sold to Enfield AI for 7,000gns.
