Tribes' trio are tempting

A 70ac non-residential farm with a farmyard at Lavally, Tuam, is the largest of three nice parcels of land for sale in Co Galway. The other parcels include 12ac of farmland near Corrundulla, eight miles from Galway, and a 10ac piece of ground a few miles further north in Caherlistrane.

The 70ac farm is for sale by private treaty and guided at €350,000 by Tuam-based selling agent Martin Tyrrell.

Located at Fortebrown, Lavally, six miles east of Tuam on the Clonberne road, the property is being sold by a retired farmer.

The holding is made up of 64ac of good grazing land and 6ac of good-quality bog. It is well fenced with its own water supply and serviced by an internal roadway, which was built by the owner.

The 250ft of road frontage is ideal for a residence, subject to planning permission.

"This is a lovely farm," said Mr Tyrrell. "The guide price of €5,000/ac represents great value. I'm confident that we will have a sale in the near future."

A 12ac parcel of land at Gortroe, Corrundulla, eight miles north of Galway city and off the Headford road, should attract a lot of attention.

The land is well fenced with its own water supply and has sizeable road frontage on to a side road. On the market as a private treaty sale, it can be sold as an entire or in three divisions.

"This parcel of land is in divisions or as an entire. I'm looking for offers in advance of €100,000 or circa €8,000/ac," said Mr Tyrrell.

Offers of more than €80,000 are being sought for a 10ac parcel of ground at Caherlistrane, Co Galway.

The property is located five miles from Headford and eight miles from Tuam.

Described by Mr Tyrrell as the "finest of land", the property is being sold by private treaty.
