Many of the properties on the market at the moment have neither residence, yard nor barn. One such place is a 66.5ac tillage farm at Thurlesbeg, Boherlahan near Cashel, Co Tipperary.
The farm, which comes with entitlements of €6,875 a year, is subject to sale by tender with the final bids taken on Wednesday, December 12. Thurles auctioneer Sean Spain is guiding the sale at €12,000/ac.
Located within sight of the Rock of Cashel, the farm is located five minutes from the royal seat of Munster and 15 minutes from Thurles.
The farm is described by Mr Spain as excellent limestone land.
Currently under a crop of sugar beet and fodder beet, the land is highly productive and well farmed. Laid out in seven divisions, the ground is high and dry and has good access onto the Cashel to Boherlahan road.
