Tipp 33ac satisfies demand

A non-residential holding of around 33.5ac (13.5 ha), located between Nenagh and Borrisokane at Lahorna, Co Tipperary, was recently sold at auction at the offices of Sherry FitzGerald Talbot.

Laid out in one block with 200m of road frontage, the farm drew considerable interest.

Bidding began at €260,000 and went up to €355,000, and was bought in trust by Eoin Dillon.

Commenting after the auction, William Talbot said the farm was one of the finest non- residential holdings to be placed on the market for some time in the area.

"The price achieved, of over €10,000/ac, is in line with the market generally," Mr Talbot said.

"Demand for smaller sections of land remains strong despite uncertain market conditions."
