SAFETY is set to feature large in the three Teagasc open days over the next three weeks.
Sheep2015 in Athenry on Saturday, June 20; Crops and Spraying in Oak Park on June 24, and Moorepark '15 on July 1 will all feature safety exhibits. There will be a special emphasis on the new farm safety training requirements for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS), and the Young Farmers' Capital Scheme.
Facilities to enhance safety when working with sheep will be emphasised in Athenry, while the focus in Oak Park will be on pesticide regulations. The Dairying event will highlight safety, and work organisation in the context of expanding herds.
