Spring is here as IHFA national fair to open

THE IHFA National Spring Fair will take place in the Coilog Eventing Centre, Kilmeague, Co Kildare on Saturday, April 24.
Some €12,000 in prize money, as well as dozens of trophies, are up for grabs at the popular annual show.
There are 18 regular classes and five championship classes scheduled for this year's event and entries have already been received from competitors in Cork, Antrim and everywhere in between.
IFA president John Bryan will officially open the show, and there will be dozens of trade stands and exhibitors attending.
Bothar, Garda Siochána, IFA, Macra na Feirme and Teagasc are among the non-commercial exhibitors. The Kilmeague venue is only 12 miles from Naas and was chosen for its accessibility.
There are 600,000 dairy cows and their followers within 90 miles of Naas, while Ballinasloe, Carrick- on-Shannon, Castleblayney, Clonmel, Limerick, Newry and Waterford are all within a 90-mile radius.
