A farmer's decision to attend a recent Beyonce concert in Dublin has landed him a brand new tractor and sprayer.

Michael Mooney from Ogonnelloe, Co Clare is the proud new owner of a Kubota M9960 tractor and Alto 800 sprayer after being named as the winner of the Farming Independent promotion supported by Zurich Insurance.

There were thousands of entries and Michael was selected as the winner for the originality of his answer to the tiebreaker question which asked entrants what they would call the tractor and sprayer combo: 'Beyonz-hay and Spray-zee' was Michael's suggestion.

"I'm not a big fan of Beyonce or Jay Z, my girlfriend dragged me to her last concert. But it must have inspired me, I thought of the Beyonz-hay fairly quickly and I came up with Spray-zee when I was messing around on the farm," he said.
