Royal county holding guided at €480k

The auction rooms are busy this week with a wide range of properties for sale as the auctioneers prepare to hit the beaches and the farmers go back to the silage meadows for the second cut.
Stephen Barry and Raymond Potterton have the sun cream on and the bucket and spade at the ready, but before they jet off on holidays, there is some gavel swinging to be done.
Today will see a 25ac residential farm at Ross, near Royal Tara, come for auction with a guide price of €480,000.
Located beside the M3 motorway and 25 minutes from Dublin the farm consists of a fine redbrick, two-storey farmhouse with four bedrooms, a kitchen and two reception rooms.
The farmyard is home to an extensive range of housing including a 10-column slatted shed, dry bedded sheds, concrete yards and state of the art farming facilities. The land is all in grass and described as top quality grazing ground fenced by mature hedgerows giving excellent shelter.
The farm will be sold at auction at 3pm today, Tuesday July 5, at the Navan offices of Raymond Potterton.
Westmeath farm auction
At the same auction, Pottertons will offer a 40ac non-residential farm at Martinstown, Delvin Co Westmeath. This comes with a guide of €8,000/ac.
Located 2km from Delvin village the farm is described by Stephen Barry as an excellent high and dry farm. Currently in permanent pasture it is said to be the best of grazing ground with plenty of road frontage on to the public road and a series of fine cattle handling facilities. The place is well fenced and serviced by mains water.
It will be sold at auction at 3pm today at the Raymond Potterton offices, Navan.
Coonans of Maynooth have a wide range of properties coming for auction this Wednesday and Thursday.
Tomorrow the Maynooth firm will bring to auction a 42ac parcel of arable ground at Newtown located 5km from Enfield and Kilcock.
It is described as prime agricultural land that has been well farmed over the years and laid out in manageable divisions. With a guide of €10,000/ac it will be sold at auction tomorrow Wednesday, July 6 at 3pm at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth.
Another parcel for sale tomorrow is a 19ac piece located at Duncreevin, Kilcock, Co Kildare.
Described as prime free draining ground the place has frontage on to the Clane to Kilcock road and is well looked after and surrounded by mature hedgerow.
This is guided at €10,000/ac and will be sold at 3pm tomorrow at the Glenroyal Hotel Maynooth.
Tomorrow also sees Coonans will bring a 22ac non-residential parcel of ground to auction with a guide price of €220,000.
Located on the outskirts of Delvin, along with agricultural use the lands have extensive road frontage on to two public roads.
Will Coonan of Coonans says the property, which adjoins an existing residential development, will have long term development value in itself. In fact the property had been earmarked for development prior to the economic crisis. It is guided at €10,000/ac.
Also on Thursday at the Glenroyal Hotel at 3pm, Coonans have a €160,000 guide on the sale of a 16ac parcel of ground with stables at Courtown Little, Kilcock.
The place is comprised of good quality agricultural ground situated between Maynooth and Kilcock.
