A compact 64ac non-residential farm located at Riverdale, Raharney, on the Meath/Westmeath border is to be sold at auction this time next week.

Located six miles from Killucan, seven from Kinnegad and 15 miles from Trim, the farm is in one block and laid out in sizeable divisions.

A large 40ac field is under maize at present. Running alongside are 24ac laid out in three fields and under permanent pasture. The land is bordered on one side by a river.

In terms of farm buildings the farmyard consists of a three-bay haybarn and slatted unit along with the remains of an old milking parlour, an open silage pit and a cattle crush.

According to selling agent Thomas Potterton, the farm has great potential as a nice residential holding for someone who wants to farm part-time or a farmer seeking to extend his/her holding.

"While there is no residence with the farm, there is sufficient road frontage for a house," said Mr Potterton.

The property is guided at between €7,000 and €8,000/ac or €450,000 to €500,000 for the entire.

The auction takes place at The Property Exchange, Trim, next Tuesday at 3pm.
