With extensive road frontage, the non-residential holding is about 1.5km on the Mullingar side of Tyrellspass. Auctioneer Gordon Cobbe of selling agents GVM Tullamore describes it as great piece of ground.

"It was in tillage in 2001 but the place was reseeded in the intervening time and is now in permanent pasture," he explains. The house and yard associated with the farm are being retained by the family.

Strip grazing

A hardcore roadway runs through the holding rendering it most suitable for paddocking and strip grazing. The boundaries are well fenced and were upgraded in recent months.

The property will be sold in two lots of 34ac and 18ac with the larger lot of prime land guided at €9,000/ac and the heavier land in the 18ac guided at €5,000/ac.

The auction takes place at the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore at 3pm on Friday, March 11.
