Among the more substantial properties coming to the market is a 105ac farm at at Calverstown Little near Kilcullen in Co Kildare. The sale is guided at €900,000.

The property is situated between the Kilcullen/Carlow road and the Kilcullen/Athy road 1km from Calverstown Village and convenient to the N78 and M9.

The land is all in permanent pasture with 1km of road frontage, a natural water supply and excellent shelter.

Auctioneer Paddy Jordan says the place is renowned for its fattening qualities and "would put lumps of flesh on bullocks."

Approximately 18ac are under forestry with a mixture of hardwood and softwoods and three years left to run on an annual premium of €3,954.

The property will be auctioned at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge at 3pm on June 15.

Jordan Auctioneers are also handling the sale of a non- residential farm extending to 75ac located at Castlemartin and Kinneagh 5km from Newbridge and 2.5km from Kilcullen.
